Reusable Blocks

The main idea is to have a way to share existing blocks from one SiteJet user to another in a simple manner.

How it works

First you need to add the link bellow (only once/the first time) to your Bookmarks Bar in Chrome (preferably to use Chrome)

How to copy and import a block in SiteJet

Here is how you can import the example block to your SiteJet project

  1. Click on Copy Block Data (this will copy the necessary data into Clipboard, if it is used for the first time it will ask the permission to write to Clipboard, just accept)
  2. Go to your project in the SiteJet CMS and press on the Import → SiteJet bookmark (set in the first step)
  3. A modal will appear, Paste the data inside the input field and press OK
  4. Now, if everything went well the data will be decoded and placed in SiteJet Clipboard format
  5. Use the Paste option from SiteJet to place the block where you need
  6. Copy CSS (or additional code) by pressing on Copy CSS button and then Paste the (S)CSS in SiteJet → CSS panel

How to export (and encode block data) from SiteJet

First you need to add the link bellow (only once/the first time) to your Bookmarks Bar in Chrome (preferably to use Chrome)

Drag this button to your Bookmarks Bar

  1. In SiteJet in your project select a Container or Element and use the Copy function from SiteJet
  2. Press on the SiteJet → Export bookmark (this will convert the SiteJet Clipboard format into a B64 encoded string)
  3. Done. The block data is in Clipboard. Paste the resulted string somewhere (where you want to store it), or use the Import → SiteJet bookmark to use it on another account project
